Please join me on Tuesday, March 19 (the first day of Spring) for our opening dinner of the year, which will take place at Vancouver’s famed Vij’s Restaurant – a culinary landmark of fine Indian cuisine and the deserving recipient of “Bib Gourmand” designation from Michelin.
Our recent membership survey indicated that our members look forward to experiencing “the cuisine of different cultures” and in that vein I can think of no more exciting cooking than the exotic, aromatic cuisine of India as imagined by master chef and founder Vikram Vij.
Our Indian dinner will feature five courses, including two family-style appetizer courses, two plated courses and a lovely dessert accompanied by a sparkling opener and Vikram’s own special blends of red and white wines, created expressly to pair seamlessly with his food. This is going to be a wonderful, relaxing way to kick off the year ahead. I look forward to seeing you there.
