Biography

In 1994, Elpie Marinakis Jackson, Eleni’s youngest daughter, discovered her passion for the Hotel business and decided to join her Mother at the Wedgewood Hotel. Having been raised around the Hotel most of her life, it quickly became second nature to her.

Elpie received a Bachelor or Arts (Hist.) from UBC and then completed an LLB from University of Reading in the UK. She then returned home and completed her Canadian Legal accreditation from Peter A. Allard School of Law at UBC.

Now, as co-owner and managing director of the Hotel, Elpie continues her Mother’s legacy. She has undoubtedly inherited her mother’s passion, flair and dedication for the business. With over 20 years of experience in the hotel industry, Elpie has established her very own management style and fine taste which is now evident in all the changes and upgrading she has brought into the Wedgewood. Her goal is to ensure that the Hotel continues to be a leader in comfort, luxury, technology and above all, in service.
